1.Step
Having done the 12 sts - winding cast on, knit one row.

2.Step
RIGHT SIDE OF THE BAND
Work rows 2 to 4 according to the JULE - pattern, then repeat last two rows as often, as given for your size.
You may place the stitches on a stitch holder, or slip themn to the center of the needle cable.
Break yarn.

3.Step
LEFT SIDE OF THE BAND
With right side facing and the working needle, attach yarn at the slipknot. (add. needle)
Knit the slipknot together with the first stitch, then purl two rows.
This creates a garter stitch row, that will be continued in the center of the back.

4.Step
Work according to pattern. Repeat the rows as often as given for the size. Both sides will have the same length then.
Slip held stitches back to the working needle. Don't break yarn.

5.Step
In the next row, stitches will be picked up from the back edge.
Starting in a right side row, work the band according to pattern. Knit the last two stitches together.
Turn work by 90°. For a easier turn, pull the needle cord into a loop.

6.Step
Pick up and knit 3 sts from 4 rows from the back neckline.
Turn work by 90°, knit 2 sts together and work to end according to pattern.
Now you have each side 11 sts for the front bands and your given number of stitches for the back on needles.
