BALU - pdf -

BALU is a cuddly sweater worked seamlessly from top to bottom in garter stitch. The shoulders are shaped using the contiguous method, then stitches are picked up for the sleeves. The shoulders and side stitches are worked in a rib pattern [k1, p1], as well as the sleeve cuffs and hem.

MATERIAL:

Our sample garment is knitted with ALPACA HEATHER SPACE DYED by Manos del Uruguay, 164 yds (150 m) per 50 g, col. 8892 Teddy Bear.

YARN REQUIREMENTS:

XS 1160 - S 1230 - M1 1290 - M2 1360 - L 1430 - XL 1500 - 2XL 1600 - 3XL 1700 m.

NEEDLES:

4 mm and 4.5 mm.

GAUGE:

22 stitches x 38 rows in garter stitch on the larger needle size, for a 10 x 10 cm swatch.

All measurements provided are for the finished sweater.
