FLAMÉ cardigan - pdf -

The FLAMÉ cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down. The yoke is shaped uses Susie Myers’ Contiguous method for creating set-in sleeves. Once the yoke shaping is complete, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold and the underarm stitches are cast on using your preferred method. The body is then worked back and forth to the ribbing, with instructions for optional pockets included.

The button bands and neck finishing are worked next. Finally, the sleeve stitches are returned to the needles and the sleeves are worked in the round from the top down to the cuffs.

 MATERIAL:

Herzfasern Flamé, 100% virgin wool, a single-ply thick-and-thin yarn with an irregular thickness, mulesing-free, yardage: approx. 130 m / 100 g, care: Hand wash

NEEDLES: US (5.5 mm) and US (5,0 mm) circular needle and DPNs (or magic loop).

GAUGE: 12 sts x 18 rows = 4 inch (10 cm) square in stockinette stitch on larger needle after washing. 

TOOLS: Stitch holders or waste yarn, stitch markers, removable stitch markers (or safety pins), 6 -8 buttons, approximately 0.6  (16 mm) diameter, tapestry needle.
