Knitting patterns for sweaters and cardigans by Regina Moessmer - each model in 11 sizes and five yarn weights. Knit designer Regina Moessmer solves a problem faced by almost all knitters with this book: the tedious conversion of a pattern when you prefer to use a different yarn weight. Whether it's a knitting pattern for a sweater, cardigan, or accessories, if you love the design, you would often like to knit the model in other yarns, but not everyone wants to recalculate gauge and increases and decreases. "Timeless Knits" therefore includes five basic models for classic cardigans and sweaters that have been converted and adjusted for the five most common yarn weights. All models are knitted using the top-down method, from top to bottom.

25 timeless designs: Five basic models in 11 sizes from 35 to 54. Each model in 5 yarn weights, ranging from 1,340m/100g to 160m/100g in yardage. Seamless knitting: All sweaters and cardigans are knitted using the top-down method (as raglan from the top, straight shoulder section, or with the contiguous shoulder method). Many additional model variations: Knit your favorite model with a turtleneck, pockets, or as a short-sleeved sweater. Knitting the extraordinary cardigan - different yarn weights create completely different looks. Regina Moessmer is known for her straightforward designs. What is particularly exciting about the models in this book is how much the yarn weight used affects the design. The broken seed stitch pattern of model Caspar looks very delicate with thin yarn and adds texture to the sweater in the thicker version. The cable pattern of model Amelie is especially easy to knit for beginners with the thicker yarn, while advanced knitters will enjoy working with the finer cables. Those who enjoy knitting a sweater in one piece (without a single seam) will delight in this book. With the different techniques in each model, knitting remains interesting but can also be easily tackled by ambitious beginners. Whether knitting a neckline, rolled edge, or pockets - each knitting pattern makes the self-knit sweater unique with small design details.
