Seamless knitting: All sweaters and cardigans are knitted using the top-down method (as raglan from the top, straight shoulder section, or with the contiguous shoulder method). Many additional model variations: Knit your favorite model with a turtleneck, pockets, or as a short-sleeved sweater. Knitting the extraordinary cardigan - different yarn weights create completely different looks. Regina Moessmer is known for her straightforward designs. What is particularly exciting about the models in this book is how much the yarn weight used affects the design. The broken seed stitch pattern of model Caspar looks very delicate with thin yarn and adds texture to the sweater in the thicker version. The cable pattern of model Amelie is especially easy to knit for beginners with the thicker yarn, while advanced knitters will enjoy working with the finer cables. Those who enjoy knitting a sweater in one piece (without a single seam) will delight in this book. With the different techniques in each model, knitting remains interesting but can also be easily tackled by ambitious beginners.
